Introduction
Offer financing for every credit type at checkout. Here's how a PayTomorrow integration fits together.
PayTomorrow gives your customers a way to pay over time, whatever their credit. One application can check PayTomorrow's own financing, prime lenders, and lease-to-own providers, depending on the lenders enabled on your account, so more of your customers can get approved.
There are two ways to add PayTomorrow to your store:
Use a platform plugin
Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, and more. No code required.
Integrate the API
Create orders from your own checkout and get status updates by postback.
With either one, you can add marketing tools to your site, like monthly payment estimates on product pages and a financing page. They show customers they can pay over time before they reach checkout.
How it works
Every integration follows the same flow. Your server creates an order, the customer applies on PayTomorrow, and PayTomorrow tells your server what happened.
- Create an order. Your server sends the cart and customer details. PayTomorrow returns an application
urland atoken. Save the token with your order. - Send the customer to apply. Redirect to the
url, or open it in an iframe so the customer never leaves your site. - Get the result. PayTomorrow sends a postback to your
notifyUrlwhen the application needs your attention, and redirects the customer to yourreturnUrlorcancelUrl. - Ship and settle. When the order ships, settle the application and PayTomorrow funds you.
Before you start
You need a PayTomorrow merchant account. Your account manager will send staging credentials first, and production credentials when you're ready to go live.
In the merchant dashboard, open Resources to find:
| Credential | Used for |
|---|---|
| API username and password | Getting an access token |
| API Signature | The Authorization: Basic header when getting a token |
| Public ID | Marketing tools like the Monthly Payment Estimator |
Staging and production are separate
Each environment has its own credentials. Staging credentials don't work in production, and the other way around.
Environments
| Environment | API base URL | Use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Staging | https://api-staging.paytomorrow.com/api | Building and testing. No real credit checks or money. |
| Production | https://api.paytomorrow.com/api | Live customers. |
